Here is a quick check on how our legislators are doing in this general assembly. We must always keep a watchful eye on them and they need to know that we are watching.
I have attached a matrix from the Republican Study Committee of Colorado (RSCC). This is an organization that like us focuses on the principles of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutional Limited Government and Free markets. Their research is very and we support their efforts.
The matrix shows the number of bills that have been introduced by Republicans and Democrats in the House and Senate and has ran them through the matrix and has found the following results.
Of the 67 House bills introduced 33 by Republicans 28 reflected our core values while 5 of the bills did not. The House Democrats put forth 34 bills of which 5 supported our core values and 29 did not. In the Senate Republicans put forth 34 bills of which 33 supported our core values and 1 did not. The Senate Democrats put forth 33 of which 3 supported our core values and 30 did not. I hope this help shed so light on what is happening in the Legislator for you all. Looks like we still have some house and senate cleaning to do.
Our Mid-Session report card should be out soon keep an eye out for that.
